The year of 2018 has been challenging to say the least. The collective has experienced resistance and has dealt with trials and tribulations testing the resolve that we have within ourselves.
We are by no means coming out of the fog that we previously we entered, but we are going into the new year more spiritually sound than ever before, as well as more bonded to one another as we come to realize that we are one. We will never near the finish line of our spiritual journey, and instead will always be starting new chapters of it. They are life-long lessons that will never expire and will always provide fresh challenges whenever we become a little to complacent in this thing we call ‘life’.
Make no mistake, the soul has grown and you are now more equipped to enter the new year – you are ending a karmic cycle and beginning a new one. This will give you the opportunity to decide what karma you wish to invite into your life this new year and to correct any karma that you put out into the Universe this past year. Not being able to change the past is one thing, but being able to make better, more informed choices for the future is another. The Universe will always give second chances, but the karma you produce for yourself does not.
Heed this observation and commit yourself to making this year the year you begin your journey of becoming the best person you can be for yourself and yourself only. Once you become the best for yourself, you’ve already become the best for the collective.
Every once in a while, a God or Goddess will beckon for my attention. Usually, it is in the form of synchronicity, but sometimes the bold will pop in through mediation or dreams. In this particular instance I can say that Lakshmi has been calling out to me for a few weeks now and I’ve finally decided to pay attention. As a result, I’ve decided to share her wisdom with you and if this resonates then perhaps you have been called too.
Who is the Goddess?
Lakshmi is a beautiful four-armed Hindu goddess that sits upon a lotus flower and is known for her ability to empower you to find creative solutions in order to create abundance in your life. If you want to figure out what your perfect career path should be, how to make more money, finding the love of your life, or even finding the perfect place to live, then consider paying your respects to Lakshmi and ask for help. She will help you find your groove and teach you how to work in sync with the Universe. You will be inspired to act when it is necessary and be blessed with the wisdom of knowing when it is time to take a step back and let the Universe work its magic in your favour. This exercise in particular will help you find the balance necessary in life in order to assist you with the ability to RELAX when you feel like things aren’t going your way.
In order to pay your respects, find something pink, whether it be an actual lotus or a candle as legend has it that this is her favourite colour. Say a blessing and simply ask for assistance.

The need for balance and harmony is imperative in this chakra as this chakra is responsible for how we express ourselves. All of our creativity, passion, inspired ideas, sexuality, appetite, goals, ambitions, and healthy relationships are born right here in the lower abdomen. If this chakra is not cleansed or balanced then we risk having all of these aspects of our lives thrown into turmoil.
We stand to lose our creative muses making our paintings less vibrant and our voices less song-like. Our care for the important things in life disappears and the goals we have held on to since childhood dissipates. We begin to take those of importance in our life for granted and abandon all the responsibilities that we once took pride in. We begin to feel self-conscious inhibiting us from freely expressing ourselves physical and sexually and slowly, but surely our outside world falls apart as the very essence of our beings suffers.

Being grounded is all about having control over your own energy and having the ability to choose how much of it you wish to share. More importantly, being grounded gives you the ability to lessen your sensitivity to the energy around you, be it people or even electronics.
The root chakra keeps you grounded. When you are grounded you are able to formulate cohesive thoughts and do not risk being scattered or having your head stuck up in the clouds. Grounded energy also leads to better sleep patterns and reduces the likelihood of experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. When you are grounded, you are in control of your own energy, and have the ability to block energy that does not belong to you. It is harder to push the buttons of a grounded person and get a reaction out of them, because you cannot manipulate energy that you do not have access to.

How do you measure progress outside of the systematic approach of institutionalized education?

Why do we expect ourselves to conform to an outdated belief system and way of life?
We are allowing our self-esteem to be influenced by the destructive ways of society and the powers that be, instead of recognising that they don’t hold any powers over us if we choose not to play the game.
Generations before us led a life based on greed, violence, and dishonesty; however, we can make the conscious decision to put a stop to it. This does not require a mass revolution. All that is required is that each of us wake up every day and choose a life led by integrity.
We are seeking approval by those that have misdirected dignity and no integrity or honest character and have given them permission to make us feel bad about aspects of ourselves that we shouldn’t feel bad about.

You are currently experiencing a change of perspective when it comes to where you want to direct your life and how you are going to live it from this day forward, and you’ve dealt with this throughout your birthday month. I told you last month that you need to have the courage to follow your dreams and passions at this time, as they will direct you towards a more fulfilling destination; however, you’ve been doubtful! This is okay, as you just need to take a different approach. It is time for you to own your own beliefs, thoughts and feelings as to what is right. Stop searching for the approval of others because you will not get it.
4. Cancer
There is a lot of transformative energy surrounding Cancerians at the moment and as a result you feel more anxious and stressed. Don’t allow panic or the fear of the unknown to throw you off your game. You can expect great change in the next upcoming months and if you want the process to move smoothly then you need to stop putting up so much resistance and allow the Universe to do its job. Relinquish control. For those that a worried about employment, paperwork or legal issues, that will be sorted in your favour.
5. Leo
Consider yourselves to have been smacked by the Luck of the Irish as you’ve got the Wheel of Fortune turning in your favour spitting out luck. This month will bring a lot of developments directly in your favour. Anyone that’s been toying with new business ideas, considering starting school in the fall, or even trying for a baby, this is the month to get on it. If you’ve been looking to receive news, you’ll get it this month! With this being said, beware. Luck is never specified as being good or bad, and if you want to eliminate the gamble produce good karma to put yourself in its good graces.
6. Virgo
Expect lots of changes! For some it will be tumultuous and for those that know how to relinquish control it will be smooth sailing. You’ve been aware that life has been getting stale, but have neglected to do anything about it. If you don’t take control of your situation the Universe will do it for you and trust me when I tell you that it will be a much more painful process.

After coming out a particularly emotional time for Libra, you can expect a calmer month with the pieces falling into place. Sometimes your emotions can get the better of you causing you to think that situations are worse than they actually are. Consider taking a break and indulge in solitude to recalibrate. I can see that some of you headed my advice last month and have adapted a more positive approach and just like I said, the Universe would sprinkle some magic into your life. There are lots of blessings comes in, but make sure not to give up at the last minute. Your cycle of change is nearly complete and if you burn out before the finish line you will not reap any rewards.
9. Sagittarius
This month should be smooth sailing for you; however, watch those around you. There are people that aren’t being particularly forthcoming and I sense that there is some scheming going on behind your back. Be vigilant and watch out for your colleagues and ‘friends’ this month.
10. Capricorn
Capricorn has been working hard these last few months in an attempt to reach their ambitions. You will be rewarded for this and can expect a surprise opportunity. You are now in the space to make whatever happen as you’ve worked hard enough; just channel your will to manifest it.

She is gentle and compassionate – both signs of strength, and she wears a white robe representing her purity that she uses for the greater good. She isn’t fighting with the lion, she gently closing its mouth – taming it. But make no mistake, it is compliant and does not put up a fight. She is the boss.
The lion represents the carnal self and your inner beast. True strength comes from your ability to tame and balance the beast, but at the same time you must learn not to prepress your passions in the process. Your passion is what drives and feeds you, while repressed passion causes illness and misery. Getting the two right is your responsibility to your Spirit, because sometimes you have to let your lion roar.
Aries have been participating in some self-deprecating thoughts lately, but being at war with yourself will only make your journey more difficult.
